What benefits do you and I have because of individuals who dared to dream. We live in a free land, we worship as we choose, we have the right to speak out for good and against evil – all because of those who went before, whose vision didn’t stop at the end of their noses.
Do you have a dream? What is your vision for yourself, you family, your city and country?
I’m reminded of the words of Theodore Roosevelt, who said:
“It’s not the critic who counts;
not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled
or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena;
whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood;
who errs and comes short again and again;
who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions,
and spends himself in a worth cause,
who, at best, knows the triumph of high achievement;
and who, at worst, if he fails, at least fails while
Daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those
cold and timid souls who knew neither victory or defeat”
